15 – 19 April 2018, Canberra

The Australian Permaculture Convergence (APC14) kicks off with the ACT Permaculture Festival at Canberra City Farm on the Sunday, followed by four days of connecting and learning at ACT’s Greenhills Centre. Tours, workshops and courses will also be held across South East NSW with a exciting program of speakers, including David Holmgren, Bruce Pascoe, Tammi Jonas and Charles Massy.

A feature of the program is locally sourced, ethically raised food and drinks, with the organisers working with local farmers to achieve this. This is an opportunity for everyone to share their permaculture journeys, research and ideas, and have fruitful discussions about the future directions of permaculture in the world.

We’re proud to announce the Pip Permie Awards! There are two awards, both of which will be presented at APC14. The Best Permie Project award is open to projects which are current, create positive change and demonstrate the permaculture ethics of earth care, people care and fair share. The Permie Of The Year award is for a permaculture practitioner working to create positive change in the world. They need to demonstrate the permaculture ethics of earth care, people care and fair share in their work. The project will be awarded $250, with the permie of the year receiving a Pip Award Pack (which includes garden tools, books and other useful items from the Pip Shop), valued at $250.

To nominate a project or person, email us at with their name, location and age. Include a brief description about what they’re doing, how they demonstrate these ethics and why you think they should win.
